·         search for an interesting  “social media” page and “like” it-done

This social media tool is the one I mostly use. When searching on Facebook- you need to have an idea of who or where you wan to go as the search can result in numerous options. Smart phone technology also means access to updates and news from your friends, or organisation throughout the day- hence many schools and businesses prohibit use during class or shifts.

·         Explain on your blog how you think a social networking could be used in a library. (any type of library)
News and events about the operation of the Library is useful if students require referencing or research assistance. New books and e resources are published when available to be borrowed. Other cultural events may be hosted in the Library itself such as International Women's Day, Harmony Day, Easter and Christmas celebrations.

In May 2017, our class group organised, planned and delivered National Simultaneous Storytime to pre school children in the Library at Tighes Hill. Photos of the event are able to be viewed on the Library site.
